Low Carbon Building’s Programme (£2,500 grant)

DECC's Low Carbon Buildings Programme householder stream is due to be open until late 2010 for heat generating technologies (solar thermal hot water, ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, wood fuelled heating) or as long as funds last. Warm Front Grant UK (£3,500)

Warm Front makes homes warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient. The Warm Front Scheme provides a package of insulation and heating improvements up to the value of £3,500 (or £6,000 where oil, low carbon or renewable technologies are recommended). It is a Government-funded initiative and the scheme is managed by Eaga.

The Warm Front Scheme is funded by Government, and has an allocated budget for the year. The Scheme has assisted over two million customers and is extremely popular. Due to high levels of demand, any works carried out under the Scheme are currently taking longer to complete. Insulation work may take up to three months to complete and heating works may take six months to complete.

If you own your own home or rent it from a private landlord, you may be eligible for a grant under the Warm Front Scheme.
